Comics in the summer!
For the second time I will be conducting a short (5 days) course about comics for teenagers of new immigrants (12-18 years old) together with the Merkaz Keilati in Piski Zeev and the Shovivar teenager club. Last year it was quite unexpected for me, but it turned out great!
We discussed the history of comics and their types, how different in plot and style they can be. Together with Yana Oklander we did exercises about storytelling. We learned to draw our character and make it as impressive as possible. We tried to tell the same story in 2-3-5-10 frames. We experimented with composition and in the end we each drew our own little story!
It is important that you can come with any level of drawing, just an interest in telling a story through pictures!
