at the Yael Art Studio
for children aged 5 to 14.
It is the only studio in Ashkelon offering professional-level instruction in small groups (covering the fundamentals of drawing, composition, and painting, as well as various techniques such as pastel, charcoal, watercolor, gouache, watercolor pencils, and sculpting;
the older group also studies art history and the lives of great masters).
The curriculum is on par with an art school.
At the same time, the lessons are engaging, featuring musical accompaniment and multimedia materials.
During class, children do more than just draw; they study theory and rules, and play games that develop their artistic skills.
Instruction is provided by a professional artist and teacher with 20 years of experience, using her own unique teaching method.
At the end of the year, the studio hosts a major exhibition of the students' work.
