Why I created the book “Talkers” and how it can help parents
The author's answers to the most frequently asked questions from parents
❤️ Dear mothers, fathers and grandmothers!
After the publication of the educational and game manual for speech development “Talkers,” parents often ask me questions.
And this is absolutely understandable. After all, every parent wants to be sure that they can help their child and not harm him.
So today I decided to answer the most frequently asked questions.
❓ Will I be able to teach my child using the book “Talkers” if I don’t have a pedagogical education?
Yes, you can.
Moreover, this is precisely why I created this book.
I wrote it not only for specialists, but primarily for parents who are with their child every day and want to help him develop.
The book is written in simple and understandable language. It has a clear structure, sequence, games, exercises, songs, poems, detailed explanations and recommendations for parents.
You don't have to figure out what to do or where to start.
I have already built the whole path for you step by step.
❓ What age is the book suitable for?
This book is not limited to one age.
I created it as a book for every family with children.
You can get to know her even during pregnancy. And then use it at different stages of the child’s development, selecting games and exercises in accordance with his age and level of development.
In the introduction, I explain in detail how to do this and how to select exercises, games and techniques for children of different ages.
Parents don't have to do everything. It is important to understand the general structure of speech development and gradually move from simple to more complex.
❓ Is the book suitable for a child with speech delay?
Yes.
The book was created not only for children with normal speech development, but also for children who need additional help.
However, the most valuable thing in this book is not even the exercises themselves.
The book helps parents understand how a child’s speech develops and what skills are important to develop at each stage.
I explain in detail what each section is for, what skills it develops and what place it occupies in the overall system of child development.
When parents understand this system, it becomes much easier for them to help their child not only with the book, but also in everyday life.
❓ How long do you need to study?
For home exercises, 10–15 minutes a day is enough.
Regularity is much more important than duration.
It is most effective when individual games, exercises and speech tasks are naturally repeated several times throughout the day during communication, walks, games and everyday activities.
Even small daily activities help develop attention, memory, thinking, speech understanding, communication skills and gradually form a solid foundation for further speech development.
❓ How do you understand that book classes help your child?
Speech development consists of many small steps.
In one child, attention and perseverance first improve. The other one has more sounds and words. The third begins to better understand the addressed speech, enters into communication more willingly, becomes more confident and active.
It is very important to notice not only new words, but also all the changes that help the child move forward.
If, with regular lessons from the book, you see positive dynamics in the child’s development, then the book is helping you move in the right direction.
That is why in “Govorushki” much attention is paid not only to speech, but also to the development of the child as a whole.
❓ Why are there so many different sections in the book?
Because speech cannot be developed separately from everything else.
Speech is part of a child’s overall development.
That is why the book presents 9 sections that cover the development of a child in a complex: neurogenesis, breathing exercises, voice development, gymnastics of the speech apparatus, articulation, speech technique, sensory, the role of poems in speech development and answers to the most important questions of parents.
Essentially, in the introduction, I give parents a guide map to their child's speech development from A to Z.
I am convinced that speech development does not begin when the child utters the first word.
It starts much earlier.
Therefore, the book will be useful to parents even during pregnancy and from the first days of the baby’s life.
The better adults understand the patterns of child development, the more opportunities they have to help him in a timely and correct manner.
❓ How is the book “Talkers” different from many games, exercises and materials that can be found on the Internet?
This is a very good question.
Today on the Internet you can actually find a huge number of games, exercises, songs, recommendations and expert advice.
But the problem is that it is very difficult for parents to understand what exactly the child needs now, where to start and in what order to move forward.
You can spend hours searching for information, moving from one site to another, buying different books and watching dozens of videos.
But at the same time, one does not see a holistic picture of the child’s development.
That is why I created “Talkers”.
Upra...exercises, games, and songs can be found in other sources as well.
The book’s greatest value lies not just in the games and exercises, but in the understanding it provides of the system behind a child's speech development—its structure and sequence.
I have gathered everything essential regarding a child's holistic development under one cover: from neurogenesis, breathing, and sensory processing to articulation, speech technique, and communication skills.
Over the years, I have encountered many excellent books and instructional materials. Some authors write about breathing exercises, others focus on articulation, and some compile game-based activities.
I wanted to combine all the essentials into a single system so that parents wouldn't have to piece together information from various sources.
In essence, this book serves as a guide for parents.
It acts as a compass, helping you understand the direction to take, what to focus on, and how to support your child's development step by step.
❓ Do you need to buy a lot of specialized workbooks and materials for these activities?
Not necessarily.
Of course, extra games, flashcards, and developmental aids can be useful.
But my method is built primarily around the child's daily life and the situations that occur in every family every day.
I am convinced that speech development shouldn't be limited to table-based lessons.
For example, imagine a child turns on the tap and the water starts flowing.
Instead of just watching, the adult turns this ordinary household moment into a learning opportunity: "Turn on the tap. The water is flowing. Can you hear it? *Glug-glug-glug.* The water is wet. Get your hands wet. Now your hands are wet. And now let's dry your hands. Your hands are dry." In just a few seconds, the child hears new words, performs actions, gains sensory experience, and learns to understand speech and connect words to real objects and sensations.
Or, a mother gives her child hot soup and says:
"The soup is hot." "Blow on your soup."
The child starts to blow.
And that right there is a breathing exercise—an important part of speech development.
There are thousands of such examples in everyday life.
That is precisely why I wanted to show parents that a child’s development doesn't happen only during special lessons.
It happens at home, on walks, in the kitchen, at the store, and during playtime and interactions with adults.
It is important to understand which skills are developing at any given moment and how to turn ordinary situations into opportunities that benefit the child.
That is exactly what I teach parents in the book *Govorushki*.
❓ Is this a one-time read?
No.
I designed it as a book parents can return to again and again as their child grows. It remains useful for years and can become a true family encyclopedia for speech development.
The better parents get to know the book and understand its logic, the more they can do for their child.
They can flip through the pages, pick new games, repeat exercises, discover new possibilities, and gradually make the tasks more challenging as the child gets older.
❓ Is the book useful only for children?
No.
Parents often start doing the exercises alongside their children and are surprised to notice positive changes in themselves.
Breathing, diction, speech clarity, attention, coordination, and communication skills all improve.
It is no coincidence that I use many of the techniques from this book in more than just my work with children.
Using my own proprietary method, I also help adults recover their speech after strokes and severe injuries, and I work on diction, voice, expressiveness, and communication in public speaking courses.
That is why the book is useful for the whole family.
❤️ The most important thing I want to tell every parent:
No specialist spends as much time with a child as Mom and Dad do.
That is precisely why your daily support, attention, and involvement are so incredibly valuable. The key to success isn't a parent's background in education; it’s the desire to understand the child's developmental process and to apply that knowledge consistently in everyday life.
When parents become active participants in this journey, results appear faster and are much more lasting.
Even if a child attends sessions with specialists, it is practice at home that truly transforms individual skills into a natural part of their life.
The book *Govorushki* is designed to help you become a confident guide for your child, taking small yet vital steps in their development every single day.
❤️ *Govorushki* is an essential resource for parents who want to support their child’s speech development, understand developmental milestones, and turn everyday moments into opportunities for learning, connection, and growth.
If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them.
Feel free to ask me not only about the book but also about your own child's development.
With respect for adults and care for children ❤️
