English or Hebrew?
I've often encountered the following dilemma: English or Hebrew, which is more important and how to balance it?

The most polarized positions are: "I have good English, I can handle it anyway, why learn Hebrew?" and "I have good Hebrew/I'm actively learning it, I don't have the time or energy for English, why learn it at all?"
I'll say right away: in my opinion, the very formulation of the question is completely incorrect.

For those living in Israel and planning to stay here, Hebrew is essential. Even in hi-tech and IT, where English is often the working language, Hebrew is now generally required—or you have to be a truly accomplished specialist to ensure everyone else adapts. At worst, they'll be willing to put up with it for a while, but expect you to learn Hebrew. But even if English is your primary language at work, Hebrew is required in everyday life, when communicating with government agencies, and with friends and neighbors outside the "Russian" street. English is needed. But for a completely different purpose. Firstly, there are a number of fields where English is essential – these include high-tech and IT (along with, not instead of, Hebrew), and any activity involving international contacts and products (sales, supply chains, interactions with foreign partners, etc.). If you plan to study or work abroad, permanently or temporarily, English is essential. And even in mundane travel abroad, English is indispensable as the language of international communication.
So, to sum it up – English and Hebrew in Israel are not competitors, but rather friends and comrades. If you have problems with one language, the other will lend a helping hand, but won't replace it long-term. Learning Hebrew is a must. As for English, I suggest starting/continuing/don't abandon it (depending on your current level).
Why am I writing all this? I'm not just here to share some of my concerns, but also to announce that starting mid-December, Minyar English Club - English with Konstantin Minyar will launch two in-person English groups in Rishon LeZion at the Colibri Club, with the support of the wonderful Evgeniya Zhuchenko!

Minyar English Club is a place where language learning is achieved through activity and communication. A calm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and progress at their own pace.
When learning English at Minyar English Club, the emphasis will be on oral communication and confident communication skills. Classes at the club combine language development with confidence, flexible thinking, and the ability to feel comfortable in an English-speaking environment.
Classes are held once a week - one group on Sunday, the second on Wednesday. Classes start at 7:00 PM and last 1.5 hours. The cost is 480 shekels for 4 classes; the first (trial) class is 90 shekels.
