When a child picks up a sheet of paper and pencils, according to numerous observations, the first thing they draw is a circle with stripes around it. In my childhood, it was more often a semicircle, or more accurately, a four in the upper corner. The small part of the circle seemed to indicate that the world was so vast that it couldn't fit on the sheet of paper, but there was something warming and illuminating, something very important; it was a way to sense a piece of something larger.
If the child continues drawing by school age, the stripes gradually disappear, the circle often becomes yellow, and the sheet of paper blue, and sometimes even a multicolored sunset.
The older the young artist becomes, the more they observe, notice, and learn. You can recognize a sunny day not only by the sun, but by the light and shadow on the trees, the ground, and the houses—it may not be visible, or it may be hidden behind your back. This week, students at the "Fun Drawing Studio" tried their hand at painting a sunny day using color, scattering colorful spots across paper, and simultaneously learning the secrets of a palette.

Perhaps anyone would like to join our classes in Kiryat Motzkin?!
There are several spots available on Tuesdays at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, and on Wednesdays at 3:00 PM. For thoughtful young artists interested in learning new things.
Don't put it off, children grow up fast!
