Literary and artistic workshop "Magical worlds: texts and pictures"

Alexandra Skvortsova and I invite children aged 8–11 to the literary and artistic workshop “Magical Worlds: Texts and Pictures”.
What will we do?
Read, compose, learn new things about the language and play with words, and then embody our ideas in illustrations, models and sculptures.
We will read excerpts from “The Hobbit” by J. R. R. Tolkien, write our own texts based on them, talk about the structure of the language and play word games. Gradually, we will invent our own world with our own characters, inspired by the classic text.
In the artistic part, we will visualize our imaginary world: draw maps, build houses from cardboard and sculpt amazing animals from clay.
We are waiting for children aged 8–11 who can already read Russian (not necessarily fluently), so that in a playful and creative atmosphere we can maintain their interest in reading and writing in Russian. Presenters:
