Vocal and piano - individual lessons

I was born in the Urals. When I was 5 years old, my grandmother decided that our family needed a musician, so I was sent to a music school to study piano. Thus began 10 years of my captivity. Having received the certificate, I came home and disassembled the piano, strings and keys, and consigned it all to the dustbin of history. Then, it’s true, there was still a music school in Yekaterinburg, but the memories of it were washed away by time and tears. Then I thought that I would never make music again.
I moved to St. Petersburg and graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy. By chance, country camps and children appeared in my life. I was offered to organize a choir. In St. Petersburg, I met talented vocal and piano teachers who, unlike my previous teachers, treated me like a person. I became a musician against all odds. I was invited to work as a music teacher at the Lyceum, where I once studied. It's been 3 interesting years. At first, my students thought that classical music was only for grandmothers in the philharmonic. We studied composers and sang songs. The guys loved my subject. We still communicate.
Now I live in Jerusalem and lead a choir of Russian-speaking grandmothers. Our relationship transformed from wariness (I came with a new repertoire and ideas) to mutual love.
I am recruiting vocal and piano students for individual lessons. Thanks to my negative experiences learning music, I know exactly how not to teach it. I try to teach in such a way that music becomes love, not neurosis.
